A draping of softly curling white-blond almost silver hair cascaded down her long, slender and straight back. Her hands were missing the upper joint at the tip of her finger, making them far less flexible then a humans. Brilliant, elegantly slanted cobalt eyes stared around her in wonder at all the life. The dirt smelled wonderful to her slightly equine nostrils. She stamped her feet, with their forked toes that looked like goat hooves more then anything else, white tufts of fur going from ankle and thinning out as it reached mid-calf. Her chest was flat, but the elegant curve of her hips made it clear that she was fully grown. She stepped out from an almost garishly colored ship, and breathed in the life around her. A white, spiraling horn grew in the middle of her forhead, unnoticeble once it was gotten used too. She paused, in her examination of the planet, to pluck some grass and chew on it idly.

I dont want to know when you leave. I dont care what your name is. But tonight, after I'm drunk, would you hold me and tell me how much I mean to you, and how youd move heaven and earth to save me if I were hurting? I won't remember. But tell me that, please, before I die without any memory of love.

A lady's hands removed the spectrum she had been using from her eyes. The instrument was loosely held by her side as she looked out upon the long stretch of land that lay before her and mused upon what was to be done. A cloak was wrapped neatly about her slender body, making it impossible to tell what it was that she wore underneath. Elvish ears pricked up, moving slightly with every sound it caught. Her grey eyes were blank and emotionless, intent upon her thoughts. Every decision must be made carefuly for she would have to bear the consequences. This was a harsh lesson that had been strongly ingrained into her mind.

The wind blew across, sweeping the grass into a flat carpet. The young girl, for she was not more than a girl, pushed her long blue hair back into a braid. As if having decided upon the next course of action that was to follow, she slid into a flat, silver ship and took off. The only signs of a presence having been there were the creases in the earth.

It seemed rather empty, she had noticed, her pupils narrowing to verticle silver slits. It was so rich and full, and yet she had hoped there might be life here, something to speak with. She had been on the run for what seemed like years, but had only been months. Sighing, she stepped away from the safety of her elegantly crafted ship, her ships mates were all still aboard, running scans for the wild life in the area. She was the youngest, and the most restless.

It felt wonderful to run along the open plains of this planet, and run she did, soon coming to a stream. She sighed, hopefully, slipping from her clothing to dip her hardened feet into the cool water, slowly sliding the rest of her slender body in. It felt wonderful, better then the showers on board. Her hair cascaded around her in the water, and she knew nothing but pure happiness.

The girl landed in a secluded, shut off area. She stepped out of her ship and walked straight past the people who stood nearby waiting for her to speak. An older man dropped out from the scattered group to follow her closely, head bowed slightly.

She stopped abruptly when a short distance away from the others. The man could only see the back of her head, which consisted of blue hair, pointed ears and a small gold band around her head. "My Lady's orders?" he asked in a soft-spoken voice.

She was quiet for a moment before she turned around to face the man. Her face was young, intelligent and sharp. Eyes that were almost cold had a hard edge to its youth. Few dared to look her in the eye, but this man was one of the few. Even he would not want to lie to her though.

"There are strangers. I think they are harmless, but I will take no risks. Take my people away swiftly to somewhere hidden. I am sure you know where to go. I will be going to investigate. Please give me a suitable weapon."

The man's brow furrowed in displeasure at the proposal, but he turned on his heel swiftly. Talking to a few, he returned to the girl with a silver rod. Explaining the uses of it quickly, she nodded in satisfaction and placed it within her belt.

"Must my Lady leave alone?" he asked, his voice laced with concern.

"Alone," she said firmly. "I will send you word whatever shall befall me. Now go and do as I say."

"As you wish," he bowed. She strode towards her slender aircraft and disappered. Once again the ship took off, leaving only a crease in the earth. Soon after, several more of these followed and disappeared into thin air.

Her ship mates were finished securing the ship, and were setting up the high-tech circus tent like dwellings the lived in. Tywren, the only male among the group, and the most techinically qualified, oversaw the setting up, having determined there were no seriously dangerous large predators. Faetharel and Lythlynn laughed and spoke through the strong mind-link that had been set up on the long voyage. None wondered where Aynorenn had run off too, she was the youngest of the crew, and had a hard time being on the ship for so long. They did not doubt her safety, as they could still sense her telepathically.

Aynorenn Climbed from the cool water, greatly refreshed, and slid into her long, amber colored tunic, belting a very carefully woven belt about her slender hips before slowly returning to the ship.

Welcome back, Aynorenn, we were wondering when you'd return.
Aynorenn smiled, helping Tywren with the last tent pole. He cast a shy glance at her. Both Faetharel and Lythlynn smiled knowingly at each other- Tywren was thinking of courting Aynorenn when they returned to Narhilli-Vilinyarhh.
It is good to know you were not devoured Tywren thought at her ruefully, his pupils widening with mirth. She gave him a soft shove and nudge with her horn, and they all returned to the ship to bring out the green's from the 'ponics system to add to the natural vegetation.
